The Registration Process

Ownership Proof

scanning into DRIVE Database. Owner’s driver

license credential is verified and any outstanding infractions/violations, fines and warrants which are uncovered and must be resolved before vehicle can be registered.

Vehicle Inspection

A trained official performs an intense visual inspection of the motor vehicle and records the following:Screen Shot 2015-05-03 at 06.38.21

  • Vehicle Identification Number
  • Chassis Number
  • Odometer Reading
  •  Make and model of vehicle
  • Vehicle color
  • Engine size and number
  • Year of Manufacture of both engine and Chassis
  • Vehicle Type – Car, Pickup Truck, Van, etc…
  • Digital Photos of vehicle

Data Verification

Screen Shot 2015-05-03 at 06.38.36Data retrieved from vehicle inspection is checked against documents supplied by the vehicle owner. DRIVE verifies data using International Vehicle Identification Number

(VIN) information supplied by vehicle manufacturer.

Document Issue

License Plates – Issued every 5 years.

Windshield Decal – Renewed each year.

Registration Document with optional rear license plate expiration decal – Renewed each year.

Installation

Screen Shot 2015-05-03 at 06.39.23 Vehicle owner is provided a brochure on installation procedures of license plates and validation decals. The vehicle registration document must be stored in the glove compartment of vehicle to assist law enforcement in security checks or information verification.
